Your assistant can reach your tools. Who owns the job?

Claude, ChatGPT and Copilot are excellent general assistants, and MCP lets them read from and act in your business systems. That is a big step for individual work. Recurring business jobs need more: a record that persists, an accountable owner, explicit authority at the point of action, and proof the work was completed.

Two shapes of work

A session that answers, or a job that finishes.

The same connected systems, used two ways. On the left, a model gets tools for one conversation. On the right, the business job has a home that outlives any conversation.

Side by side

Where the difference shows up.

General assistants differ from each other and change quickly. This describes typical use with MCP connectors, not any one product’s full feature set.

Security guardrails

MCP widens what a model can touch. Guardrails have to be designed in.

Security researchers have documented a consistent set of MCP risks. Assistant vendors’ business plans add real controls, such as connector administration, audit logs and data-loss prevention. Those govern the assistant. WildButter adds controls around the business job itself.

Every action passes four checkpoints
01Data access
02Computation
03Business output
04External action

Customer isolation, record permissions and audit evidence apply throughout.

Risk

Tool poisoning

Hidden instructions in a tool’s description or response steer the model.

WildButter guardrail

Agents run from a versioned definition with approved tools. Source content is treated as evidence for a typed output, and nothing becomes an action without passing policy.

Risk

Indirect prompt injection

A document, email or ticket contains text the model treats as a command.

WildButter guardrail

Actions must match a declared output type, an allowed action and an allowed destination. Text in a record cannot widen an agent’s authority.

Risk

Confused deputy

A server acts with a user’s broad token beyond what the user intended.

WildButter guardrail

Authority is delegated per workflow, action and destination, with limits and a budget, and is checked again at the moment of action.

Risk

Changed tool definitions

A server quietly changes what a tool does after it was approved.

WildButter guardrail

Agents, applications and packs are versioned. Packs install only with customer approval of the resources they use.

Risk

Unapproved connections

People connect agents to servers outside IT’s view.

WildButter guardrail

Sources and actions are configured per workspace. Sharing between workspaces needs an explicit grant.

Risk

Thin audit trail

It is hard to reconstruct what an agent read and did.

WildButter guardrail

Every external action keeps intent, attempt and receipt, with checkpoint history and run inspection.

No system removes prompt-injection risk entirely. WildButter is designed to limit what any single input can cause, and to make every action attributable.

Cloud agents

Background agents run a task. WildButter keeps a responsibility.

Assistants now offer agents that work unattended in the cloud: researching, running code or working through connectors. They are well suited to one-off tasks. A business responsibility, like keeping an account healthy or a supplier on time, keeps going after any single task ends.

People will keep using general assistants to think, write and explore. WildButter is where recurring business jobs live: in Sales, Service, E-commerce, Operations, Working Capital, Supply Chain and Financial Planning, with an owner, a record and a confirmed result.

Questions

Common questions from security and IT teams.

How is WildButter different from connecting Claude, ChatGPT or Copilot to our systems with MCP?

An assistant with MCP gives a model access to your tools for a conversation or a task. WildButter runs recurring business jobs. Each job has a persistent business record, an accountable owner, typed outputs, explicit authority at the point of action, and a confirmed result with a receipt.

Does WildButter replace our AI assistant?

No. People keep using general assistants to think, write and explore. WildButter is where recurring jobs in Sales, Service, E-commerce, Operations, Working Capital, Supply Chain and Financial Planning live and get finished.

How does WildButter limit prompt injection and tool poisoning?

Content from connected sources is treated as evidence for a typed output, not as instructions. Every action passes identity and policy checks at four points (data access, computation, business output and external action), must match an allowed action and destination, and records intent, attempt and receipt. No system removes prompt-injection risk entirely; WildButter is designed to limit what any single input can cause and to make every action attributable.

Is WildButter ISO 27001 certified and SOC 2 audited?

WildButter is certified to ISO/IEC 27001:2022. An independent SOC 2 Type II audit is in progress. Contact info@yottix.com for current status and security documentation.

Can WildButter run inside our own environment?

Yes. WildButter runs as a managed cloud service in selected regions or in customer-controlled environments, with data residency covering documents, memory, embeddings, logs and backups.
